Additional Information
Basic Uses - 33S Silicone is especially designed for joining and sealing most non-porous building materials including a variety of structural materials: glass, aluminum, metal alloys, stainless steel, wood, and plastics. All surfaces must be properly cleaned and the sealant tooled for good adhesion. Cat. No. S1L2100 Primer may be required for these and other substrates as well.
It has a wide operating temperature range of -80° to 400°F (-62° to 204°C), and can be applied at outdoor temperatures as low as -35° to 140°F (-37° to 60°C). 33S exhibits strong physical properties: 350 psi Tensile Strength; 120 psi Lap Shear at 1/8" (3 mm) thickness and Tear Strength of 25 ppi. It will seal curtainwall joints, steel and aluminum windows, and skylights. Indoor uses include bathtubs, showers, and sanitary installations (mildew resistant clear, white, translucent white, and tan contain a fungicide for cured beads that are mildew resistant).
Available in Custom Colors. Minimum order quantity is 30 cartridges and for any quantity ordered there is a plus or minus of approximately 10-25% that will be produced and shipped since custom colors are made by the batch. Lead time is 3 to 5 weeks.
Limitations - It is not recommended for structural glazing or insulating glass glazing, concrete and stone expansion joints, horizontal decks, patios, driveway or terrace joints where abrasion is possible. Not recommended for use on concrete, marble, limestone, lead coated surfaces, submerged joints (swimming pools and aquariums), plazas, decks, pavements, etc. Not suitable for painting. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
